FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We’ve set up this page to try and address some questions you may have as to what to expect in the remodeling process. We think you’ll find it helpful. If you don’t see an answer you’re looking for please feel free to call us at (816) 217-1082. We’re always willing to help in any way we can.



DO YOU GIVE FREE ESTIMATES?

Yes. Our estimates are, and will always be free of charge.


ONCE I’VE REQUESTED AN ESTIMATE, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

We will contact you by the end of the business day and set up a time to look at your project. After we’ve looked at your project and made an assessment of the scope of work we will email you a detailed, written estimate. (Usually the same day)


DO YOU ASK FOR MONEY UP FRONT BEFORE WORK BEGINS?

For smaller jobs where the total materials cost is $350 or lower, we will purchase the materials needed to complete the job. Payment of the balance in full will be due at the completion of work.


For larger jobs such as basement remodels, where the materials are greater than $350 we will ask that the homeowner/contractor pay for the needed materials in advance before work is started. We prepare the order with the supplier so that all the homeowner/contractor need do is make a payment to the materials supplier. After work is completed the full balance of the labor portion will be due.


*In some cases such as with new construction homes we will ask that the homeowner/contractor pay for the needed materials upfront and agree to a payment schedule also known as a draw to cover our labor costs as certain aspects of the job are completed.


I’VE HAD CONTRACTORS WORK IN MY HOME BEFORE AND THEY LEFT A MESS. WILL YOU CLEAN UP OR IS THAT MY RESPONSIBILITY?

With construction come messes. It’s just part of it. We always clean up after ourselves as a courtesy to our customers. It’s not fair to ask some else to pick up after us.


WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR COMPANY ACCIDENTALLY BREAKS SOMETHING IN MY HOME?  ARE YOU INSURED?

Well, so far we haven’t broken anything in 20 years (knocks on head) but yes, we carry $2M general liability insurance for your and our protection. If you would like, a copy of our insurance certificate can be emailed to you by our insurer before work begins.


IF I HIRE YOUR COMPANY BUT HAVE TO WORK DURING THE DAY WHAT DO I DO? DO YOU WORK AT NIGHT?

Our business hours are from 6am-7pm. We like to see our families too. Most of our customers leave a key hidden, give us a garage code or even leave a back door unlocked so that we can get in during the day. We always lock up at the end of the work day. And at the request of our customers we will give a courtesy call just to update them on the status of work progress and assure them everything is locked up.


DO YOU OFFER A WARRANTEE/GUARANTEE ON YOUR WORK?

Absolutely! All of our services come with a (1) year quality guarantee. If something we did fails within a year’s time we will fix it at no cost to you. You have that in writing on the estimate sheet we send you. If you lose your copy rest assured we retain copies of every estimate we’ve sent.


             WHAT AREAS OF KANSAS CITY DO YOU SERVE?

             We serve the entire Kansas City metropolitan in both Missouri and Kansas. In Missouri that includes: Platte City, Liberty,            Kansas City, Independence, Blue Springs, Lee’s Summit, Grandview, Belton, Greenwood, Grain Valley, Oak Grove and            Odessa.

           

           On the Kansas side: Kansas City, Leawood, Overland Park, Lenexa, Olathe, Gardner, and Leavenworth.
